Living Spring Church looks after more than 500 orphans, most of whom have little hope of obtaining an education. ABIDE-connected teams are currently working with the local leadership at Living Spring Church to learn how we can come alongside their dreams and efforts on behalf of Living Spring children to provide the next generation of leadership for their community.

They are currently looking at purchasing a piece of property where they will initially build a P-7 school as well as trade school. Not only will this project provide an education for the orphans in their church, it will generate a source of income as other children in the community attend the school.

The demand for a trade school is substantial— three out of five unemployed in sub-Saharan Africa are young people who mostly survive in the informal economy. A trade school would have lasting impact on the people in the surrounding community.

The current school meets in a three-room shed on the church property. The teachers’ salaries and supplies are covered by donations. Your gift would go a long way to bringing life-long change to these kids.
